Gaming handhelds have gotten the trade’s new battleground as Microsoft launches its ROG Xbox Ally units October 16, chasing Nintendo Change 2’s record-breaking 5.8 million models offered in seven weeks. The ASUS-manufactured handhelds run full Home windows 11 with a gaming-optimized interface, accessing Xbox Sport Cross, Steam, Battle.web, and different PC storefronts with out platform lockdown.
Two fashions arrive at launch: the usual Xbox Ally with AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor and the premium Xbox Ally X that includes Ryzen AI Z2 Excessive, 24GB RAM, 1TB storage, and 80Wh battery. Microsoft’s Handheld Compatibility Program pre-verifies 1000’s of PC video games for moveable play. Pricing stays unannounced.
